At FORE Investment Group, we’re a small, family-run development company with a big passion for housing. While we occasionally venture into smaller retail ventures, our primary focus has been on residential development, encompassing a range of properties from architecturally significant, service-forward developments to high-quality affordable housing projects.
Regardless of the audience, our goal is to elevate communities and deliver lasting value.
How Our Partnership with Catalyst Began
Our partnership with Catalyst began through a referral from our attorney.
At the time, there were few builders in the Fox Valley with the level of professionalism and experience we were looking for, and Catalyst stood out.
From our very first project together, Gabriel Lofts, the team brought a thoughtful and capable approach that laid the groundwork for what has grown into a strong and collaborative relationship.
Why Transparency and Trust Matter in Construction
We take pride in being extremely hands-on throughout both the construction and operational phases of our projects.
Our expectations are high. We like to:
- To see the numbers
- verify costs
- Work through every scenario.
From day one, Catalyst has met us with transparency. If we want to compare the cost of a pitched roof versus a flat one or weigh different HVAC systems before finalizing a design, Catalyst gives us that insight upfront, long before shovels ever hit the ground.
That kind of open-book partnership is rare, and it’s made all the difference.
Catalyst values collaboration and is always open to input, which is essential when your general contractor plays such a direct role in representing your brand.
Their performance impacts our reputation, lender relationships, and community standing. We need a team we can trust, and that’s what we’ve found in Catalyst.
Delivering Affordable Housing That Builds Communities
We are currently partnering on the Archive Apartments in Appleton, a 40-unit affordable housing development with underground parking. Additionally, we have several other projects in the pipeline, including a second phase of our North End development and a new build in Menasha.
These are all community-centered housing projects where quality, efficiency, and experience matter, and we know Catalyst is up for the challenge.
Teaming Up for Success: MF Housing Partners & Catalyst
Affordable housing is a major focus for us, especially in the Fox Valley region, where the need is urgent and ongoing. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Marissa Downs and her company, Mosaic Ventures, to form MF Housing Partners.
Together, we tackle the complexities of affordable housing finance and development. It’s a nuanced world, and Marissa’s decades of expertise in tax credit financing pair perfectly with our boots-on-the-ground experience.
Catalyst is a critical part of that equation, helping us execute projects that are not only financially sound but also transformative for neighborhoods that have been underserved for too long.
Project Spotlight: Transforming Green Bay with City East Apartments
One standout example is our City East Apartments project in Green Bay. Working closely with the city and United Way, we were able to bring affordable housing and nonprofit office space to a part of town that hadn’t seen much recent investment.
The result didn’t just make financial sense; it helped United Way better fulfill its mission and brought vital resources closer to the communities that need them most.
What Makes Catalyst an Exceptional Partner
At FORE, we strive to be consistent, straightforward, and easy to work with. Our best partnerships are with those who share that approach, and Catalyst is certainly one of them.
Catalyst has proven to be professional, receptive, and reliable, and in this business, that goes a long way. There’s enough room for everyone on the team to win. That’s how we approach every relationship, and that’s what makes working with Catalyst a true partnership.
