Challenge
Providence Academy had grown steadily since its founding in 1993, moving between rented and temporary facilities. By 2020, the school had outgrown its scattered campuses and needed a permanent, unified facility to support PreK–12 programming. The long-term challenge included building a sustainable home while also providing adequate space for athletics, the arts, and continued enrollment growth.
Solution
Catalyst Construction delivered a multi-phase master plan.
Phase 1 (2020): Established a permanent campus to house the full PreK–12 program.
Phase 2 (2024–2025): Added 26,840 SF of new space, including a field house, new classrooms, and expanded arts facilities.
This phased approach balanced immediate needs with future expansion goals, ensuring that the campus would grow alongside the school’s mission and enrollment.
Impact
-
Unified Community: All grades now study on one permanent campus, fostering stronger culture and continuity.
- Enrollment Growth: Enrollment increased by 61% since opening Phase 1 in 2020, driving the need for Phase 2.
- Expanded Facilities: New athletic, arts, and multipurpose spaces have transformed the student experience.
- Sustained Mission: Providence’s classical Christian identity is now anchored in a campus built to last for generations.
