Executive-grade management services for your next construction project.

You have the idea—we’ll help guide and see it through.

YOUR TIME IS PRECIOUS.

Construction projects have a way of consuming your life. But they don’t have to.

Leadership comes with enough headaches. Personnel, meetings, budgets, vision-casting…
there’s a lot on your plate. Your next build shouldn’t eat up your razor-thin margin.

That’s Why We Exist.

We’ll step in to…

Assess

your build from the earliest stages (or whenever you bring us in)

Guide

your fundraising efforts and suggest creative funding solutions, including putting your existing assets to work for you

What It’s Like to Work With Us

When you come to us, the first step is to figure out exactly what you need—taking into account your budget, your must-haves, your desires, and your limits. Then, we map out a game plan and deliver a custom proposal that spells out how we’ll serve you during our time together.

We’re not just thinking about how to slap up some walls and a roof. Our team dives into your mission and vision to understand your long-term goals and suggests ways your project can help you reach them.

Whether you lead a small church or a corporation with thousands of employees, you have enough demands on your time already. We’ll take the brunt of the work so you can stay on-track with the rest of your job.

We’ll be honest with you: every construction project is going to have some hiccups. We’ll be your tight end, running interference and catching passes as needed. Our team anticipates, troubleshoots, and solves issues as they come up, keeping you in the loop while keeping you out of the hot seat.

It’s simple math: one fee structure for our services,
built around your project.

Instead of hidden charges and nickel and diming you, we keep it simple, understandable and transparent.

Because that’s how integrity works.

Matt Burow

CEO, Founder

After I graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering, I had two passions: basketball and making people’s lives better. I knew how to do that through construction, but there were so many issues with how traditional contractors worked. I saw a need for a go-between, someone who could act as the owner’s advocate without adding bloat to projects. And that’s exactly what Catalyst has been doing for the past 20+ years.

I started my career as an estimator, which means I got really good at being creative with budgets. I brought those skills straight to Catalyst, joining Matt’s mission to advocate for owners—especially ones in the nonprofit sector who may be working on their first or second build. Now, I work with you and your architect to make sure your plan is solid before we transition you to the implementation team—setting you up for an incredible experience.

Free Assessments, Always.

You’ve been entrusted with a serious budget and vision. We don’t take that lightly. Nor do we believe you should be pressured into making a quick decision or shelling out just to determine if we’re a good fit. That’s why your Readiness Assessment is always free, and if you decide to go with another vendor, we never charge you for the prep work already completed.

That’s just how we do things around here.

Have questions?

Let’s answer them.

We’re non-self-performing, which means we get to choose the best contractors for each aspect of your job. Our team focuses our efforts on being your project manager, communication hub, budget advisor, and out-of-the-box problem solver. This is why Catalyst was created: so we could provide the best services at the best cost to every client.

It’s simple math: one fee structure for our services, built around your project. We’re also committed to saving you money wherever possible—on average, our clients save about 10% on projects.

Generally, a major project for a church or school takes 12-18 months.

The short answer: Yes. We’re always looking for ways to challenge our creativity—we’ve done greenhouses, parking lots, and more. We’ve learned it’s more important to find the right people than the right project—if we’re working with good people, we can make just about anything happen.

You think we’d let him go that easy? No way! Our favorite visionary and founder is still very much around. He wanted to make sure Catalyst would outlast him, which is why we transitioned to being fully employee-owned in 2022.
