Challenge

Transform a long-vacant 1952 industrial building in Walker’s Point into a modern, community-facing broadcast HQ with performance studio, production suites, and public gathering spaces, while honoring neighborhood context and adding sustainable features (green roof).

Solution

Catalyst converted ~14,000 SF over two stories into recording studios, performance spaces, offices, and a welcoming street presence; coordinated technical MEP/AV isolation with HGA and delivered a civic-minded, flexible layout that also enabled later café/outdoor activation.

Impact

The station’s new home catalyzed activity on S. 2nd St., expanding community programming and live sessions; the rooftop green space and public-facing design furthered Walker’s Point’s creative identity.
