Challenge
Catalyst Construction delivered a 121-room Homewood Suites by Hilton alongside the new Creekside Crossing Conference Center (11,500 sq ft).
Solution
Catalyst Construction delivered a 121-room Homewood Suites by Hilton alongside the new Creekside Crossing Conference Center (11,500 sq ft).
Hotel features include:
- Spacious suites with full kitchens and living areas
- Indoor pool and fitness center
- Outdoor patio with fire pit and grilling stations
- Lobby lounge and breakfast/dining space
- Business center and flexible meeting rooms (Hilton)
PRA designed the complex with a modern, hospitality-driven aesthetic, integrating conference space capable of hosting 600-person banquets or 800-person meetings (Wisconsin Meetings).
Catalyst coordinated sitewide infrastructure (parking, stormwater, traffic flow) with developer Cobalt Partners to serve both hotel and future restaurant/office tenants.
Construction was sequenced through pandemic-era supply chain disruption; Catalyst’s CM approach allowed procurement adjustments and subcontractor coordination to keep delivery on track.
Impact
- Established Oak Creek’s first extended-stay Hilton property, providing a long-stay hotel option with modern amenities for families, business travelers, and airport users.
- Delivered a dual anchor with Creekside Crossing Conference Center, enabling Oak Creek to host large conferences, weddings, and events locally—driving hospitality and tax revenue.
- Elevated the Drexel Town Square/I-94 corridor into a full destination, aligning with the city’s vision for a mixed-use hub and supporting economic development.
- Reinforced Catalyst’s expertise in hospitality and event construction, demonstrating ability to deliver complex brand-driven hotels during a challenging market cycle.
- Enhanced Oak Creek’s regional profile: the facility has been touted in BizTimes and Wisconsin Meetings as a game-changer for business and leisure travel in southeastern Wisconsin.
